Rare & exquisite executive lounge chairs by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, from the iconic U+N Series (also known as the Japan Series), designed in the 1950s. A highly collectible and important example of Dutch mid-century modern design.

Unlike the more common FM07 model, these executive versions are significantly rarer and were produced in much smaller numbers. They feature a larger scale and distinctive double-bend metal armrests, giving the design a bold yet refined architectural presence that makes them stand out in any interior.

The chairs retain their original two-tone black and red wool upholstery, creating a strong visual contrast against the minimalist black metal frame. The design language is closely related to Braakman’s celebrated Japanese Series, reinforcing its coherence within his broader body of work and increasing its collectibility.
